A full after sales service is offered through our service department, which offers emergency cover, service contracts and machine upgrades. Our full time service coordinators organise a highly trained team of engineers to meet our customer’s requirements to ensure reliable performance for our machines in the field. In addition we offer service for vacuum systems and other manufacturers’ machines subject to inspection. Our service team based in Manchester UK offer international coverage together with our facility in the US and worldwide service and sales partners.

On Site Leak Detection

Leaks can be a cause of equipment downtime and dangerous emission. To quickly and effectively find small leaks often requires specialised equipment and know-how.

If you can’t come to us, we will bring our leak detector equipment and expertise to you!

Two methods can be used for this purpose – sniff testing and spray testing.

We offer an on-site leak testing service which is tailored to your exact requirements – and remember, we have vast knowledge and years of experience which will allow us to detect leaks in your manufacturing process – no matter how small they are!

Sniff testing Your component / pipework can be pressurised with helium. If there are any leak paths present then helium will escape through these into the atmosphere. Using one of our portable helium mass spectrometers we can sniff test each joint / connection to check for a leak.

Because of the ambient levels of helium in the atmosphere the sensitivity of this method is limited, however it is far more sensitive than traditional methods of bubble testing, leak test spray or pressure decay testing.

Spray testing This technique is far more sensitive than sniff testing. The internals of your component / pipework can be evacuated using one of our portable vacuum pumps. Linked to this will be a helium mass spectrometer, ready for use once an acceptable vacuum level has been achieved. Helium can then be sprayed outside of the component / pipework to check for leaks.

Using a spray gun joints can be targeted one by one to determine the leak position, if a leak is present helium is drawn into the component / pipework by the vacuum and sensed by the helium mass spectrometer.
