From Innovation to Independence
INFICON was founded in Syracuse, New York, by scientists and engineers from General Electric and Syracuse University, who developed a halogen leak detector in 1969. Acquired by Leybold in 1976, INFICON was spun off in 2000, becoming a publicly owned organization once again..
Our plans for the next decade are ambitious, focusing on the deeper integration of AI technologies, expanding into new leak test markets, and maintaining a strong emphasis on sustainable practices.
