A series of hard vacuum single chamber helium leak testing systems produced for testing for leaks in automotive electrical box assembly casings.
Each machine is equipped with a set of specific tooling designed to accommodate and test one of the two component parts, the case component and the other being the water jacket.
Due to the involvement of two separate suppliers, variations in casting quality are present, so the leak test systems are designed to check the integrity of the sealing grooves in the two key components before they are sealed together for final assembly.
Both leak test machines are designed for manual loading, with automatic coupling to the component for precise testing. The system operates at 1.17 e-4 mbarl/sec @ 4 bar, with a 50-second hold test to ensure airtight integrity.
Electrical box assemblies play a crucial role in electric vehicles (EVs), hybrid cars and next-generation mobility solutions.
A key aspect of ensuring the reliability of these technologies is rigorous testing, including advanced vacuum and helium leak detection systems.
