As part of our journey to becoming a Carbon Literate Organisation we’ll be training colleagues based at our Manchester sites with the help of in-house trainers from Indutrade UK.
The discussion and interactive based course is accredited against the Carbon Literacy Standard and introduces insights, subjects and topics to start individuals on their Carbon Literacy journey. These include the science and impacts of climate change with existing responses and solutions, our own carbon footprint, where individual action matters, along with how we must work together to create a better world.
Employees successfully completing their day’s worth of Carbon Literacy learning and evidence form are awarded their uniquely numbered Carbon Literacy certification, contributing towards the bronze Carbon Literate Organisation (CLO) accreditation for our company.
The Carbon Literacy Project is globally unique, there is nothing else quite like it anywhere. It was recognised as such by the UN at COP21, in Paris, where it was awarded as a TAP100, one of 100 worldwide Transformative Action Programs.
