The 17th January is Women in Science and Engineering Day here in the UK! (WISE) – honouring the achievements of women in STEM, highlighting the contributions of women within science, technology, engineering and mathematics disciplines.
Here at VES in Trafford Park, Manchester we have a number of women leading and working in vitally important roles in the financial, purchasing, servicing, quality and engineering departments – all integral to making sure our thriving business and workplace gears turn and work together daily.
We’ve pictured just some our fantastic and dedicated women and support them in their professional journeys, essential for a diverse and equitable business landscape.
It’s a celebration and a call to action, acknowledging the steps to inclusion and diversity, big or small, made by organisations and businesses in STEM. WISE Day serves to celebrate women in traditionally male-dominated fields, inspiring future generations to pursue STEM careers.
Unfortunately we couldn’t manage to get all of our dedicated women employees together for the photograph, hopefully next time we will!
