It’s British Science Week this week! a celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths, with the theme this year being ‘Time’.
Leak detection is a science and thanks to advancements in technology and materials, we can detect leaks with incredible accuracy, validating components for quality, environmental and safety purposes.
In our business, the ‘leak rate’ quantifies how much material escapes over a specific period of time, with different applications and regulations having varying acceptable leak rates, but our goal is to always to minimise this number without inflating production costs unnecessarily.
We provide leak testing solutions to be able to inspect components for allowable levels of leakage and typically our traditional industries have been in fuel systems such as gasoline, petrol, diesel etc. and the HVAC market where we’re looking for really minute leaks that would see your car tyre as an equivalent go flat over around 500 years.
